The Blue Crayon

I honestly never really thought that a little angel baby like this one...
.... would turn out to do things like this! Thank goodness for Crayola Washable Crayons!

Today Josh is exactly 5 weeks old! The time has gone so fast, I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and re-live a few of the precious moments we have had with our little man in the past few weeks. His little personality is starting to emerge. We now know that he:

* prefers sitting up over laying down
* coughs when he wants to get our attention
* finds Katelyn to be the most fascinating thing in his little world
* loves his Mommy... (maybe I am biased)

His current stats from this weeks doctor's appointment are:

weight: 10 lbs. 15.5oz (this made me laugh! why not just say 11 lbs and call it good?)
height: 22 1/2" (yes, he really has grown 2 1/2" in the last month!)
hair color: still strawberry blonde (just like Grandma Burgess)
eyes: still blue (we are crossing our fingers that they won't change)

Julie, he is adoreable! As far as the crayon goes, it could get worse or it could not. She seems perfect so I am betting on it will be great. At least it wasn't a paper towel that she lit on fire and then lit the garbage can on fire. Silver lining maybe?

Jewels,
Hmmmm....from what I see Katelyn chose a blue crayon which is a nice calm color...no need to worry unless she starts using red crayons and drawing smiley faces! You should always worry about red smiley faces! Please tell her that Nana Kim thinks she is a wonderful artist, but it would be nice to have her artwork on paper so we can frame it!
Love you!
Kim

Cute, cute kids! Kate looks just like you, Julie! She is beautiful! How are you adjusting to 2? It took me at least 6 months!

Julie,

At 5 weeks (and 10 lbs 15.5 oz) he is just now (almost)equal to his daddy's birth weight. Kinda makes you appreciate Kathy in a whole new light, doesn't it? (And Ben wasn't born by C-section, either!).

We miss you guys,

Alan (and Kathy)
