4th of July

We had a lot of fun on the 4th of July. We relaxed at home all morning, which we desperately needed after a long, busy week. Then we had the pleasure of attending the Johnston family's annual 4th of July Barbeque. Nellie made the most delicious ribs we have ever eaten... (just thinking about them makes me hungry!) and we brought giant Costco size cupcakes which were also delicious. After stuffing ourselves silly we all headed outside to watch the boys set off fireworks. The kids had a blast watching the mini fireworks show. Katelyn just sat in her Mickey Mouse chair and watched, she was a little nervous with the loud bangs and pops, but she had a great time. We even got her to hold a sparkler! It was nearly 10:30pm when we headed home with two very exhausted kids. But.. Josh slept for 7 hours straight that night! (He hasn't done that since.)
